We believe God is holy. (1 Peter 1:15)

We believe God is the creator of everything that exists. (Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 44:24)

We believe God is immutable. He does not change. (James 1:17; Malachi 3:6; Isaiah 46:9-10)

We believe the Holy Spirit is God. (Acts 5:3-4; 1 Corinthians 2:11-12; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit for all Christians. (Romans 8: 14-27)

We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers believers for service in the kingdom of God. (Acts 4:31)

    We believe Jesus Christ is God. (John 1:1, 14, 10:30-33, 20:28; Colossians 2:9; Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 1:8)

We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man. (Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 4:15; 2 Corinthians 5:21)

We believe Jesus is the only way to God the Father. (John 14:6; Matthew 11:27; Luke 10:22)

We believe Jesus died for the sins of each and every person in the world. (1 John 2:2; 2 Corinthians 5:14; 1 Peter 2:24)

We believe biblical marriage is a covenant between a man and woman, a sacred vow. It is an institution created by God to be a symbol of Christ and His Church. (Genesis 2: 22-24, Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-7, Ephesians 5: 22-32)

We believe that Tithing is our opportunity to show God He is the “owner” of our finances by giving back to Him the first of what He gives us. (James 1:17; Mal 3:10)

We believe the Bible is the written and Holy Spirit inspired Word of God that is absolute and infallible and the final authority for the life of the believer and the church." (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)

    MISSION / VISION / COVENANT

     Mission:

The mission of Grace Temple Community Church ministry is evangelism and discipleship. We are committed to the great commission instituted by Jesus Christ.  We are focused on ministering to the unsaved and nurturing and developing those that are saved (Matthew 28:18-20). Everything we have done is to live out this vision that the Lord has given to our church family. From adding ministries to staffing, from building facilities to adding programs, from stewardship to membership, it has all been for the purpose of being obedient to the commission of Christ.

    Vision:

We believe the word of God includes the proclamation of both the eternal power of Calvary and the potential power of Pentecost; the power of Jesus Christ for salvation because of the crucifixion/resurrection and the filling/controlling power of the Holy Spirit for service and holy victorious living because of Pentecost. (Acts 20:27; Acts 1:8) We believe in the value of all spiritual gifts for the edification of believers and the body of Christ until the end of this church age is consummated by the glorious event return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe these spiritual gifts are given for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ and are given without regard to ethnicity, social class or gender.

    Covenant:

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and, on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ. We engage, therefore, by the aide of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this Church, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of its ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations. We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting, and excessive anger; to abstain from the sale or, and use of, intoxicating drinks as a beverage; to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior. We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember one another in prayer; to aid one another in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay. We moreover engage that when we remove from this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other Church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God's Word. All Glory to The LORD!
